Review of the best internet training products

__________________________________________________________________

It’s the ‘holy grail’ of fitness. Even if you don’t want the bodybuilder look (male or female) having a fit and toned body makes you look great and feel even better. Along with all the obvious benefits such as a healthy heart, increased metabolism and a good night’s sleep, you get bags of energy as well.  So why aren’t more of us doing it?  When we did a quick survey of friends and colleagues in the Health, Happiness and Fitness team, the main bugbear was time. Busy people lead busy lives and for most of us fitting in an hour or two, three or four times a week was daunting and always ended in failure!

So we have tried and tested some online exercise programs which will help you not matter what your situation. You can build ‘hulk’ type muscle, increase your aerobic activity or just do ten minutes a day without the need for expensive gym membership. So read on – we all have beautiful bodies; we just need to find them!

***** Burn The Fat $39.95

This program is written by personal trainer and nutritionist, Tom Venuto. He promises to help you gain muscle, burn off body fat and get fit without the use of drugs or body building steroids and supplements. Tom has been a bodybuilder for 23 years and competed for 17 He has a BSc degree in exercise science along with a host of other qualifications. At first glance this program seems geared for men who are keen bodybuilders and certainly it is ideal for this purpose.  However, Tom is a motivating guy and even if you just want to look good in your shorts this summer, there is a way to get there in this program.

*****Turbulence Training $39.95

This gets five stars as well because although it is a fitness program it focuses on different things. Craige Ballantyne is a strength and conditioning specialist and his program is perfect for people who have limited time. This is designed to be used exclusively in the home and Craige guides you through successful strategies and indeed common pitfalls, which make us succeed or fail. This product has been endorsed by Men’s Health Magazine   (as well as us) and it is an ideal way to get good results without too much strain.

****Workout Pass $99.00

This is a really great website. It’s like a candy store for exercise ideas, all for one price and all in the one place.  No matter what sport you are into, or what kind of exercise you think you might like you can find it here.  There are programs for fitness through boxing, running, basketball, and football; there is golf fitness, agility training, abdominal work and a 10 minute workout for fitness on the run! What we liked about this is that it’s universal.  If you have this package then you can do the programs you like, and your partner, kids and friends can pick another. (My teenage son was thrilled by the basketball one!)

****Fit over 40  $39.00

Written by Jon Benson, this is a no-nonsense guide to getting fit and staying in shape through your middle years, even if you have never done anything before in your life. Jon was previously told by his doctor to get fit or die before his 40th birthday.  He tells how he did it and ‘role models’ you through your own plan. This is a good fitness and weight loss program for people who like to have a mentor and need encouragement along the way (most of us I guess!).  Furthermore, it is inspirational to see the before and after pictures of Jon and this makes you believe you can do it too.
